This poem was written on the banks of Lake Mackintosh, Tasmania, where we camped for a number of days. The photos and videos used were taken by us whilst camped there,
Written at Moruya Heads in 1978 during a road trip with my old school mate Harry.
So if The Originals ever form a band, I'm proposing the band name 'Strangled Cat and the Hisser' perhaps less of a reference to the resident cat Mia and snake Cheryl, and more of a reference to the sounds which might result from such a collaboration.

Mike on 50% (The Kernel) - rip-off manager, dodgy songwriter, appalling lead vocals.
